Scholarships

Our club supports promising young people in the community
with awards totalling $6400 each year.

The University of Guelph receives $4000 for scholarships.

We give $1500 to Conestoga College for bursaries.

University of Guelph scholarships include:

$2000 for a female undergraduate with the highest cumulative average
in Semester 4 or 5 in the College of Physical & Engineering Science

June Ayhart, Kaitlynn Hannaberg, Ann Middleton 2011

$1000 for a female student in the Master of Fine Art program

Work by Dawn Johnston

$1000 for a female Master of Science student
working on a project relevant to human nutrition

Ann Middleton and Justine Tishinsky 2011

In addition, we provide $1000 in awards to young people through the
Kiwanis Music Festival and the Guelph Youth Music Centre.

Beginning in 2012, we will be providing
an annual $200 professional development grant
to an early childhood educator in our community.

All of our awards, with the exception of the $1000 human nutrition scholarship
(which comes partly from the interest on our endowment fund),
are financed from the annual donations of members
and fund-raising initiatives of the club.
